Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: oral precancer and oral cancer lesions

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of cancer. Prior history of precancer/cancer directed treatment

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Conduct a whole exome sequencing to characterize the landscape of somatic mutations in oral pre-cancers and cancers.Timepoint: 2 Years

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1)Conduct a whole genome sequencing on tumour-blood pair to identify mutation signature attributed to exposures. 2)Conduct a whole genome sequencing on oral pre-cancer -blood pair to identify mutation signature attributed to exposures. 3)To investigate the feasibility and validity of the measurement of driver somatic mutations in less-invasively collected samples, such as oral cytology samples, saliva, and oral rinses. Timepoint: 2 years
