Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients between 18 ââ?¬â?? 60 years of age with minimum two Class II Carious lesions will be included in the study. 2. The tooth should be having intact neighbouring tooth and should be in occlusion with antagonistic teeth. 3. Vital permanent molars having class II carious lesions in the same patient, having no symptoms of irreversible pulpitis (GV BLACKââ?¬•S CLASSIFICATION) 4. Teeth with secondary decay or fracture of old amalgam and composite fillings will be included. 5. A written informed consent will be taken from all the patients and only those patients ready to sign the consent form will be included in the study. ââ?¬Æ?

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with poor oral hygiene will be excluded from the study. 2. Patients with severe or chronic apical periodontitis and heavy bruxism will be excluded. 3. Non vital fractured or visible cracked teeth will be excluded 4. Teeth with pulpal and/ or periapical pathology will be excluded. 5. Teeth with developmental anomaly or pathology or congenital defects will be excluded. 6. Teeth with high caries index and atypical extrinsic staining of teeth will be excluded. 7. Teeth which have to be used as an abutment will be excluded. 8. Pregnant and lactating women will be excluded. 9. Teeth were rubber dam isolation is not possible

1. To evaluate creation of ideal proximal contacts and contours by using transparent tips of LM arte contact forming instrument and tdv contact former for obtaining tight proximal contacts using Modified USPHS criteria at baseline, six months and one year. Timepoint: post operative radiograph
