Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with bilateral impacted mandibular third molars leading to radiographic bone loss of >3 mm distal to second molar.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Medically compromised and pregnant patients. 2. Patients with abnormal platelet counts ( 3. Patients with non-salvageable or missing second molars. 4. Patients with smoking and tobacco habit(s). 5. Patients with unacceptable oral hygiene (Plaque index >3) 1 week after oral prophylaxis. 6. Patients on medications which may interfere with wound healing.
