Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare whether the SPI value obtained at the end of surgery during general anesthesia using equi-MAC isoflurane or sevoflurane corresponds to similar NRS score postoperativelyTimepoint: Last 10 minutes of sugery,SPI value will be recorded At 5 minutes and 15 minutes post operatively, NRS will be recorded | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the varying response of the observing anesthetist to the changes in SPI value by increasing/decreasing the amount of volatile anesthetic agent to increase/decrease the depth of anesthesia or administering opioid or non-opioid analgesic, or not interveningTimepoint: Evaluated during the entire duration of surgery | — |
