Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children age between 4 to 12 years Irrespective of age, sex, socio economic condition and religion Patients having symptoms of chronic constipation as per diagnostic criteria Patient with minimum 2 symptoms mentioned below with cardinal feature of constipation for > 2 weeks will be diagnosed as a case of chronic constipation - Hard consistency of stool (Sushkachirat Mala Pravritti) Abdominal pain (Udara Shoola) Abdominal distension (Udara Adhmana) Pain during defecation (Sashoola Mala Pravritti) Loss of appetite (Kshudhamandhya)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having Organic Constipation or any abdominal obstructive pathologies which intervenes with treatment Patients suffering from any systemic diseases e.g. Hirschsprungâ??s disease, Intussusception, Anorectal anomalies, Hypothyroidism, T.B, HIV etc Having psychosomatic disorders Patients having condition of acute abdominal pain, acute febrile illness etc K/c/o IBS and prolapsed rectum
