Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 75 women with PE and 75 healthy pregnant women will be included as Cases and controls. Pre-eclampsia will be diagnosed according to clinical findings of increased blood pressure (>=140 mm Hg systolic blood pressure [SBP] or >=90 mm Hg diastolic blood pressure [DBP] on two or more measurements at least 6 h apart) and proteinuria >=0.3 g/24 h or >= +1 on a urine dipstick after 20weeks of gestation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Women with twins or multiple pregnancies, hydatidiform mole, hydrops fetalis, diabetes, renal disease, liver dysfunction, systemic lupus erythematosus and all systemic diseases will be excluded from the study. History of preexisting hypertension will also be exclusion criteria for both cases and controls.
