Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The patients above 16 years of age, admitted in our hospital wards with inguinal hernia without any complications were included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Secondary hernias associated with benign prostatic hypertrophy and, abdominal masses, post traumatic and post surgical hernias, recurrent hernias, as well as hernias associated with hydrocele and undescended testes were excluded from the study. Also excluded were complicated hernias like those with irreducibility, strangulation, obstruction etc. Patients with any history of pelvic fracture or anomaly or hip surgery also were excluded.
