Intervention1: Preoperative ketamine nebulization in patients requiring general anaesthesia with orotracheal intubation: Preoperatively, patients will be nebulized with ketamine 50 mg (1.0 ml) in 4 ml

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients belonging to ASA Grade I and II, undergoing surgery of less than 2 hours duration in supine postion, under genral anaesthesia requiring orotracheal intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with hsistory of sore throat or recent upper airway infection, respiratory disease, requiring oral or head and neck surgeries, pregnant females, patients with anticipated difficult airway (mallampatti class 3 and 4), allergy to any of the study drugs or on chronic medication (NSAIDS, Steroids)
