Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18-80 years admitted to critical care unit and on invasive ventilation/Non- invasive ventilation/ high flow nasal cannula/non rebreathing mask/venture devices as deemed suitable by ICU consultant. Patients of ARDS based on Berlin criteria.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with chest trauma/pneumothorax/hemothorax/rib fractures. Patients who have recieved blood transfusion & are fulfilling TRALI/TACO criteria(transfusion related acute lung injury,transfusion associated circulatory overload). Patients who have received human albumin transfusion prior to recruitment. Patients on steroid therapy which may increase Neutrophil Lymphocyte ratio. Active hematological disorder which may change white blood cell counts. Patients with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), which is known to change cell count ratios. Patients with pre-existing cardiac failure, pulmonary artery hypertension or cardiac arrhythmias which can lead to abnormal lung ultrasound findings.
