Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with STEMI presenting within 24 hours and undergoing primary percutaneous intervention (PCI) 2. Age more than 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous ischemic heart disease (IHD) 2. History of Percutaneous coronary intervention 3. History of coronary artery bypass graft surgery 4. Significant valvular heart disease 5. Pregnant women 6. Malignancy 7. Chronic kidney disease 8. Retro viral disease 9. Terminal illness 10. Patients who did not give consent.
