Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Clinical and topographic evidence of keratoconus. 2.Patients who will give consent for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Previous history of treatment for thyroid gland disorders. 2.Previous history of treatment for vitamin D deficiency. 3.History of previous corneal procedures/surgeries. 4.History of previous trauma to cornea. 5.History of chronic and acute liver diseases. 6.History of use of drugs influencing thyroid hormone levels (lithium, interferon- alpha , aminoglutethimide, amiodarone). 7.History of use of drugs influencing vitamin D levels (cholestyramine, isoniazid, rifampicin, phenytoin, phenobarbital , carbamazepine, ketoconazole, clotrimazole , darunavir).
