Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients over 18 years operated by midline laparotomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with history of incisional Hernia Patients with previous abdominal incisions/scar H/O Chronic cough ASA(American society of Anaesthesiology) grade 3 & 4 Refractory hypotension, Septic shock Pregnancy.

Development of incisional hernia.Timepoint: Up to 36 months after the surgery

compliance with recommended ratio of midline laparotomy wound closure.Timepoint: Intraoperatively
