Intervention1: KETOFOL: Randomized Crossover design, patients will undergo 8 ECT sessions, in first 4 sessions, each patient will receive either of the drug (according to randomization), next 4 sessio

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing Electroconvulsive therapy for schizophrenia with ASA grading 1,2 . 2. Patients undergoing electroconvulsive therapy for treatment resistant schizophrenia i.e. nonresponse to at least two trials of antipsychotic medication of adequate dose and duration. 3. Age 18 to 70 years and of either sex.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with known allergy to study drugs. 2. Egg allergy 3. Patients/relatives who will deny for consent of the procedure. 4. Pregnant and lactating females. 5. Patients with uncontrolled hypertension, history of myocardial infarction, increased intracranial pressure and patients with ASA grading 3 or more.
