Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult chronic liver disease patients undergoing live donor liver transplant who will be extubated on postop day 1

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Paediatric patients less than 18 years of age Alcohol abstinence of less than 4 weeks History of drug abuse Mentally retarded Acute liver failure patients Presence of hepatic encephalopathy at the time of transplant

Fentanyl consumption, VAS, sedation score, post op respiratory function (no. of ball rise on incentive spirometry),timing of ambulation, duration of ICU stay and respiratory complications - need for re intubation, evidence of respiratory depression, episodes of nausea, vomiting, surgery related complication including graft dysfunction, non-function and portal vein thrombosisTimepoint: cumulative fentanyl consumption during first 72 hours following transplant,VAS at rest, during coughing, position change and sedation score post op at 24,48 and 72 hours, post op respiratory function at 24,48 and 72 hours, episodes of nausea, vomiting and respiratory depression during first 72 hours following transplant
