Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 40-60yrs Presence of at least two episodes of knee pain lasting 10 or more days in last one year Magnetic resonance imaging/ Arthroscopic findings demonstrating articular cartilage degeneration/meniscal degeneration Medial compartment Knee OA KL grade 0,1,2,3 BMI Varus angle Fixed flexion deformity Medial joint line tenderness

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age 60yrs Inflammatory arthritis previous history of fracture of lower limb or spine history of meniscal and ligament injury medically unfit for surgery bone tumour genu valgus neutral or 0 degree lateral compartment OA BMI >30kg/m2 Pt not willing to give consent
