Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient of either sex of 6 months to 12 years with ASA physical status l/ll. 2. Patients undergoing elective day care surgery under general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who are having oropharyngeal or laryngeal pathology. 2. Patients suffering from upper respiratory tract infections (cough, fever, rhinorrhoea) on the day of surgery. 3. Patients with known or anticipated difficult airway. 4. Patients at risk of aspiration (GERD, Hiatus hernia). 5. Patient with any known lung diseases, cardio-respiratory diseases.
