Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with adenomyosis with HMB (Heavy menstrual bleeding) or dysmenorrhea. 2. Premenopausal women who have completed family. 3. Refractory to at least 3 months medical management (Hormonal pills).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Chronic pelvic pain 2. Patients not willing for follow up in JIPMER 3.Acute PID 4. Coexisting fibroid/ endometriosis 5. Women desirous of future pregnancy

MeasureTime frame
To compare treatment failure rates at the end of one-year follow-up in both groups.Timepoint: 3,6 and 12 months

MeasureTime frame
To compare menstrual flow volume, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea rate, side effects, patient satisfaction and quality of life in both groups at the end of one-year follow-up.Timepoint: 3, 6 and 12 months.
