Intervention1: ultrasound guided nerve block: two different types of ultrasound guided nerve blocks will be compared in the two groups: interscalene brachial plexus nerve block and suprascapular nerve

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (18-65 yrs) of either sex belonging to American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status classification I/II and scheduled for elective unilateral arthroscopic shoulder surgery under general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patientâ??s refusal 2. Preexisting respiratory dysfunction. 3. History of cardiac, renal or hepatic disease 4. Preexisting neurologic deficits or neuropathy affecting the brachial plexus 5. Contraindications to the peripheral nerve blocks (eg. Coagulopathy) • History of known Local Anesthetic allergy • Patients undergoing revision, planned open, or irrigation and debridement procedures

To compare the duration of analgesia of two blocks in adult patients undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery under general anaesthesiaTimepoint: This is the specific time patient would require pain medication (presses PCA button post surgery for pain with NRS score more than 4)
