Intervention1: Vitrification of oocytes: Oocytes retrieved from ovarian tissue donated by the female cancer patients who opted for fertility preservation as a part of their standard care. Intervention

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Objective 1: All female patients, younger than 25 years of age, diagnosed with a malignancy and who need treatment with either chemotherapy and /or radiotherapy undergoing ovarian tissue cryopreservation as a part of fertility preservation will be included in the study. Objective2:Infertile female patients (known male factor etiology) with the age range of 20-40 years, seeking oocyte cryopreservation as a part of fertility treatment and oocyte donors recruited for donor oocyte program will be included in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Objective 1:Any female patient who received prior anticancer therapy in the form of chemotherapy or radiation therapy will be excluded from the study. Objective2:Infertile couple where in anyone of the partner is suffering from infectious disease.

MeasureTime frame
The result of the present investigation is expected to define the correlation between female age, oocyte cryotolerance and freeze-warming induced metabolic response in embryos that will help us to understand oocyte biology and develop better oocyte freezing strategy for different age groups. Ultimately helps in increasing the ART outcome.Timepoint: 05-08-2020 to 05-08-2023

The description of novel markers will enable the development of new concepts to better understand oocyte biology. Translating this knowledge into biomedical advances will lead to the development of more effective, safe technology to revolutionize the field of fertility preservation and assisted reproductive technologies.Timepoint: 05-08-2020 to 05-08-2023
