Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare arterial to end tidal carbon dioxide pressure gradient between two ventilator strategies (volume controlled versus pressure regulated volume controlled ventilation) in patients undergoing robotic radical prostatectomy surgery in Trendelenburg position at specified time pointsTimepoint: 1.T0 baseline pre-induction on room air 2.T 1 :10 minutes after creation of pneumoperitoneum in Trendelenburgâ??s position 3.T 2 : 2 hours into the surgery 4.T 3: 4 h into surgery 5.T e : 10 minutes after deflation of the pneumoperitoneum | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To assess the impact of ventilator modes on the following parameters at specified time points : 1. Alveolar to arterial oxygen pressure gradient (A-a)DO2 2. Peak airway pressure (Paw) 3. Plateau pressure 3. Dynamic compliance (Cdyn) 4. P/F ratio Timepoint: 1.T0 baseline pre-induction on room air 2.T 1 :10 minutes after creation of pneumoperitoneum in Trendelenburgâ??s position 3.T 2 : 2 hours into the surgery 4 T 3: 4 h into surgery 5.T e : 10 minutes after deflation of the pneumoperitoneum | — |
