Intervention1: Subcostal TAP block: 60 Patients under going open cholecystectomy will be divided into two groups, group A receiving nalbuphine 10 mg as adjuvant to bupivacaine 0.5% with total volume 2

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient undergoing open cholecystectomy. 2.ASA grade I and II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who will have any contraindication to regional anaesthesia. 2. Patients having history ofallergy to study drugs. 3. Patient withany coagulation disorders. 4. Infection at the needle site. 5. Psychiatric disorders

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Duration of analgesia by both the drugs when used as adjuvants to bupivacaine given through sub coastal TAP block.Timepoint: VAS will be assessed postoperatively at 0, 30, 60,90,120 mins and thereafter at 4,6,12,18 and 24 hours.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
VAS Pain assessment score, sedation scoreand any side effect like hypotension, bradycardia, postoperative nausea vomiting, respiratory depression or any other complication arising during the study will be assessed.Timepoint: till 24 hours
