Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) Grade II parturients 2) Minimum postoperative hospital stay of 24 hours 3) Parturients admitted for elective Caesarean section

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient refusal 2) Allergy to study medications 3) Localized infection over injection site 4) Patients with significant coagulopathies and contraindication to regional anaesthesia 5) Patients with heart disease,altered renal or liver functions and psychological disorders 6) Patients with pregnancy induced hypertension, gestational diabetes, chronic use of pain medications and body mass index more than 35 or weight less than 50 kg
