Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with non-restorable maxillary/mandibular 1st or 2nd molar and caries free retrievable maxillary or mandibular 3rd molar with at least 1/3rd root development will be included in the trial

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with infected third molars; inadequate space for transplantation; any medical condition contraindicating extraction

Transplant success. Success would be defined as: transplanted tooth without excessive mobility, physiologic mobility will be allowed; pockets of no more than 3mm; radiographically no root resorption and presence of a normal PDL space and lamina duraTimepoint: 6 months
