Intervention1: Group A: Patients will receive 1000ml of preoperative Oral Rehydration Solution starting 10 PM after last meal, on the night prior to surgery and up to 2 hrs prior to initiation of Spin

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anaesthesiologists grade I, II and III undergoing elective Total Knee Arthroplasty surgery under Spinal Anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients requiring emergency surgery Inability to give consent Any contraindication to Spinal Anaesthesia Body Mass Index more than 35kg/square metre Evidence of ischemic changes in 12 lead ECG during pre-anaesthetic work up prior to surgery Known cardiac, renal disease or diabetes mellitus
