Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.ASA Grade I patients. 2.Patients between the Age group of 21 - 55 years. 3.Patients requiring surgical removal of impacted third molars for either prophylactic or therapeutic reasons. 4.Pedersons difficulty index with tooth score of 5 or more will be include in the study. 6.Patients with no contraindications to the drugs or anaesthetic used in the surgical protocol. 7.Cooperation of patients with the study and postoperative follow up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Medically compromised patients. 2.Patient unwilling to participate in study. 3.Patient allergic to any medications. 4.Pregnant and lactating mother. 5.Regional malignancy.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1)Pain measured after the proceure on VAS scale. 2)Trismus-maximal mouth opening in mm will be measured by a graduated sterile scale postoperatively. 3)Swelling using tape measure in cm postoperatively. 4)Alveolar osteitis evaluated clinically based on presence or absence of dry socket postoperatively. Timepoint: 1.At 1st,3rd and 7th day. 2.At 1st,3rd and 7th day. postoperatively. 3.At 3rd and 7th day postoperatively.

MeasureTime frame
Additional benefits in wound healing of mandibular third molar sockets with the application of ozone therapy evaluated clinically.Timepoint: At 1st week ,2nd week and 4th week postoperatively.
