Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status I & II posted for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1Patientâ??s refusal. 2Pregnant and lactating patient. 3Patient with history of smoking, addiction to opioids, drug or alcohol abuse. 4Patient with history of chronic pain or daily intake of analgesic. 5Patient allergic to the drug under study 6Local infection at the site of application of transdermal patch 7Any major organ dysfunction

(a) Primary: To determine and measure the total analgesic consumption in 24 hours, postoperatively.Timepoint: 24 hours

(b) Secondary: To measure the efficacy in terms of duration of first analgesic requirement. To observe the side effects related to the drug(e.g. nausea, vomiting, pruritus, respiratory depression) and hemodynamic parameters.Timepoint: 24 hours
