Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing spinal surgeries in prone position. 2. American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having 1. cervical spine surgery 2. pre-operative modified Mallampati class of 4 3. preexisting oropharyngeal pathology 4. inability to fully open mouth for assessment 5. severely limited neck mobility 6. history of difficult intubation or difficult mask ventilation 7. patients who refuse for participating

To assess Samsoon and Young Modified Mallampati classTimepoint: 1 Preoperative 2 Postoperative at 1st 2nd 4th 24th and 48 hour

1. The time taken for the postoperative airway changes to fully revert to the preoperative state. 2. Correlation of the change in Modified Mallampati class with surgical variables.Timepoint: 1 Preoperative 2 Postoperative 1st 2nd 4th 24th and 48 hr
