Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Knee medial compartment primary OA of tibiofemoral joint; Participant must be having X ray of knee joint In AP vie taken in weight bearing standing conditions; For inclusion in control group the age and gender criteria will be same as previous except that participants will not be having any clinical and radiological features of OA

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patello-femoral joint arthritis; Any past history of any fracture or surgical intervention / inflammatory joint disease to the lower extremity; secondary OA; Joint deformity >15; Osteoarthritis of hip or ankle joint; history of cancer; Neurological disorders or balance of the lower extremity due to neurological causes; participation in a formal strength-training program; Patients who have history f taking systemic steroid for long time during last one year

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Quality of life measure; Pain severity on VAS scale; healthâ??related quality of life as knee osteoarthritis; Physical performance measure (timed up and go test; Stair climb test; 6m walk test; Any short term balance performance test; 30 seconds sit to stand test; Isokinetic knee extensor and flexor strengthTimepoint: measurement will be done at baseline only
