Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: i) Age 0 to 5 years . ii) Usual resident population of the study area: 300 villages of Melghat. iii) All the deaths from 93 villages, 4 government hospitals or one MAHAN hospital. iv) Still birth, neonatal death and under 5 children deaths. v) Informed consent obtained from parents, children, spouse or caretaker.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i) Decisionally challenged parents/ Caretaker ii) Trauma and accidental death

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction in under 5 children mortality including stillbirthsTimepoint: Within the 4 weeks after the end of the study identification of cause of death will be done

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction in preventable deaths of under 5 children including stillbirthsTimepoint: Secondary outcome will be seen in each 4 weeks of study
