Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 1. Pediatric brain tumors showing restricted diffusion and with a propensity to cause CSF dissemination. This will include cases both before and after initiation of treatment. The tumours included will be medulloblastoma, anaplastic ependymoma, atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumour (ATRT), embryonal tumour with multilayered rosettes (ETMR), germinoma, glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), pineoblastoma and choroid plexus carcinoma. 2. Age group upto 18 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ï?§ Exclusion criteria: 1. Primary pediatric brain tumors which do not show diffusion restriction 2. Pediatric brain tumors not known to have cranio-spinal metastasis. 3. Patients lost on follow up. 4. No lesion detected on routine sequences and CSF studies.

Design outcomes

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Lesions will be characterized as match, mismatch and reverse mismatch.Timepoint: After completion of data collection

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The efficacy of DWI will be analysed by McNemars test since the data is paired and categorical. Sensitivity of DWI will also be analysed.Timepoint: After 10 months of accrual, patients will be followed up for 6 months and data will be analyzed at the end of this period.
