Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients in the age group of 4 to 17 years. 2. Visually significant congenital/developmental cataract. 3. Uncomplicated cataract surgery with in-the-bag IOL implantation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Eyes where IOL power calculation using Hill-RBF shows out of bounds. 2. Lens abnormalities such as lens coloboma, microspherophakia, Subluxated lens etc. 3. Corneal pathologies e.g. Sclerocornea, corneal scarring etc. 4. Posterior segment pathologies e.g. RD, coloboma, retinitis pigmentosa etc.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Mean absolute prediction error (MAE) at 8 weeks using HILL-RBF, Barrett Universal II, Hoffer Q, SRK/T and Holladay1 IOL power formulae. Timepoint: Post operative Day 1 1 week 2 weeks 4 weeks 8 weeks 12 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Percentage of eyes within target refraction ± 0.5D and ±1.00 D.Timepoint: Post operative Day 1 1 week 2 weeks 4 weeks 8 weeks 12 weeks
