Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients belonging to ASA classification I, II and III with age 18 to 70 years of both sex undergoing elective surgery requiring general anaesthesia with direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The patients with mouth opening less than 3 centimetres, edentulous patients, with head and neck anatomical pathologies that might have unpredictable effect on the usg assessment of the airway, who are not able to extend their neck >30 degree, the patients with cervical spine pathology ,uncooperative patients and pregnant patients.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To find out the usg parameters for easy intubation as assessed by CL classification grades 1 and 2; To find out the usg parameters for DI as assessed by CL classification grades 3 and 4; To find out any correlation of the USG parameters with various grades of CL classification; To find out relation age, sex, body mass index to the usg parameters to assess airway. Timepoint: At the end one year
