Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)American Society of Anesthesiologist Grade I & II. 2)Patients giving valid consent. 3)Scheduled to undergo various elective minor surgical procedure under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Unwilling patients. 2)Emergency surgeries. 3)Patients with disorder of cardiovascular, hepatic, renal ,upper respiratory tract infection 4)Pregnant & lactating women. 5)Morbidly obese patients. 6)Patients with history of drug allergy. 7)Surgeries in prone position, head and neck surgeries. 8)Patient with history of chronic smoking, uncontrolled hypertension, COPD, bronchial asthma, uncontrolled Diabetes mellitus

To compare the suitability of conditions to facilitate the insertion of laryngeal mask airway, using propofol( 2.5mg/kg) with that of thiopentone (5mg/kg) IV, both preceded by a pre induction dose of midazolam (0.04mg/kg) and fentanyl(1.5mcg/kg).Timepoint: At the time of laryngeal mask airway insertion

(a)To compare the hemodynamic changes during insertion and immediately afterwards in these two groups. (b)To evaluate any other relevant observations, if they arise Timepoint: The haemodynamic parameters, namely pulse rate and non-invasive blood pressures (systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure) will be monitored at baseline, 2 minutes after giving midazolam and fentanyl (pre-LMA), and 1 minute, 2 minutes, and 3 minutes after insertion of laryngeal mask airway
