Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.all patients with goitre undergoing open thyroidectomy 2.age between 18 to 65 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.history of previous neck surgery. 2.irradiation to head and neck region in the past. 3.requirement of lymph node dissection. 4.goitre with retro sternal extension.
