Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Presence of odontogenic space infection which require surgical drainage 2. Group A- Non-diabetic individuals 3. Group B- Individuals with Diabetes Mellitus (Glycated hemoglobin above or equal to 5.7)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Systemic diseases other than Diabetes Mellitus 2. Pregnant women 3. Patients presenting with infection of non-odontogenic origin
