Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Group A - Consist of subjects with periodontitis. Group B - Consist of subjects with healthy periodontium. Presence of minimum of 20 teeth Subjects who have not received periodontal therapy within the last 6 months. Those willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with systemic diseases like Hypertension Psychiatric problems Presence of life threatening conditions like malignant tumor or radiotherapy either current or in previous 6 months Bleeding disorders Pregnant and lactating females Those who are undergoing orthodontic treatment Current smokers Immunocompromised patient

Results of biochemical analysis of blood. Serum 25 (OH) D levels will be measured using electrochemiluminescence immunoassay.Timepoint: 10 minutes
