Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients of either sex aged between 18 and 60 years 2.who have undergone elective clean and uncontaminated surgery for open hernioplasty. 3.Patients who had provided written informed consent to participate in the trial and willingness to comply with the protocol requirements.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the study-related drugs. 2. patients undergoing emergency surgery and contaminated surgery. 3.patients with known hepatic or renal impairment. 4.pregnant women 5.patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus or any other metabolic disorder. 6.Patients undergoing surgery under any local anaesthesia.
