Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients requiring open or closed reduction of jaw fracture with arch bar in place for minimum of 1 week. 2. Age limit will be 18 to 45 years. 3. Minimum number of teeth present should be 20 for a patient to be included in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant patients are excluded because gingival enlargement and bleeding can be present in pregnancy due to hormonal changes. 2. Patients with GCS below 8 3. Patients without minimum of 20 periodontally healthy teeth without mobility

| 1.To compare the incidence of glove puncture in case of Erich arch bar and hybrid arch bar. 2. To evaluate the gingival health after application of Erich arch bar and hybrid arch bar. 3. To check for stability of arch bar at time of removal. 4.To assess any root injury after hybrid arch bar placement. Timepoint: 1.Glove puncture will be evaluated on the day of application of arch bar or fracture reduction. 2.Gingival health will be evaluated with the help of various index once weekly until time of arch bar removal. 3.Stability of arch bar will be evaluated once weekly until removal of arch bar 4.Root injury will be tested on a weeks interval after arch bar application by checking tender on percussion on each tooth | — |
