Intervention1: Atorvastatin 80 mg for 6 months followed by atorvastatin 10 mg for 6 months: Atorvastatin 80 mg for 6 months followed by atorvastatin 10 mg for 6 months orally once a day night Control

Inclusion criteria: Age 18 - 65 years Acute Coronary Syndrome patients Non diabetic

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diabetes Already taking lipid lowering drugs or hypoglycaemic drugs Hypo or hyperthyroid disorders Advanced Malignancy Advanced Heart Failure Taking steroids Renal failure Any chronic infection Genetic Hypercholestrolemic disorders
