Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients in age group between 18-60 years attending surgical department with perianal abscess are included in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Recurrent perianal abscess Horse shoe or bilateral abscess Crohns disease TB Malignancy Previous perianal abscess surgery Diabetes mellitus Superficial skin infection in perianal region

MeasureTime frame
To compare the time taken for complete healing of perianal wound resulting from drainage of perianal abscesses in both groupsTimepoint: 3 months

MeasureTime frame
To compare both groups with regard to Pain during and after dressing change, Complications such as recurrent abscess and fistula formationTimepoint: 3 months
