Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients of age group 18-60 years of either sex undergoing elective lower limb surgeries. 2.ASA Physical Status- ASA grade I &II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient/ guardian refusal for consent 2.ASA grade III and IV 3.Infection at the site of injection 4.Coagulopathy or anticoagulation therapy 5.Spinal deformities 6.Diseases of CNS 7.History of allergy to proposed/used drugs in the study

MeasureTime frame
To study the efficacy and safety profile of 0.5% (Isobaric) Levobupivacaine and 0.5% (Hyperbaric) Bupivacaine for sub arachnoid block in patient undergoing lower limb surgeries.Timepoint: The level of sensory and motor anaesthesia will be assessed every 3 minutes until readiness of surgery and then every 5 minutes for the first 30 minutes.

MeasureTime frame
To compare between time of onset and duration of action between two study drugs Onset and duration of sensory blockade Onset and duration of motor blockade   To compare both the drugs for haemodynamic changes(SBP, DBP, MAP, HR ). To study the incidence of adverse reactions associated with two drugs. Timepoint: The level of sensory and motor anaesthesia will be assessed every 3 minutes until readiness of surgery and then every 5 minutes for the first 30 minutes.
