Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: clinico-radiologicaly diagnosed case of osteonecrosis of femoral head.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Post-traumatic osteonecrosis of femoral head. 2. Patients having any contraindications for MRI. 3. Patients having any other condition of the involved lower limb affecting the Harris Hip score

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. To quantify the morphology of femoral head in avascular necrosis using MRI based virtual 3D model. 2. To associate the morphometric measurements with the etiology and clinical presentation of AVN.Timepoint: pre-operatively the patient is examined, Harris hip score calculated amd MRI done.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
3. To associate the defined defect with standard clinical classifications. 4. To associate virtually created 3D model with the gross specimen of femoral head.Timepoint: post-operatively gross specimen of the femur head is obtained.
