Intervention1: Listening to OMM Chanting: The 1st intervention group of patients will receive a comfortable volume of Omm chanting through both the ears by using ear phones, which will be started one

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA I & II pts 2. elective abdominal surgery under GA

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Psychiatric illness, 2. Hearing impairment, 3. Opioid therapy preoperatively, 4. Requiring ICU care before and after surgery.

MeasureTime frame
) Primary outcome: determination of differences in peri-operative fentanyl requirement over 24-hour period between the three groups. The result will be expressed as mean + standard deviation and one-way ANOVA will be used to determine statistical significance.Timepoint: 24 hours
