Intervention1: Dexmedetomidine: Intravenous dexmedetomidine will be used in patients undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia, whereas the control group will receive standard anaesthesia technique

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients belonging to ASA Grade I and Grade II.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Syndromic children with undescended testes. 2) Patients suffering from cardiac and pulmonary disease. 3) Severe obstructive sleep apnea.

| To study the effect of intravenous dexmedetomidine on intraoperative hemodynamic stability and its role in postoperative analgesia following laparoscopic Stephen- Fowlerâ??s stage-2 orchidopexy under general anaesthesia in pediatric patients. Timepoint: Heart rate, systolic blood pressure, oxygen saturation, end-tidal CO2, temperature will be recorded every 5 minutes intraoperatively, and postoperatively for 15 minutes followed by every 30 min for 1 hour. Extubation quality will be graded at extubation. Agitation scores observed every 15 minutes for 1 hour. Pain score every 2 hours for 6 hours followed by every 4 hours for 24 hours. Time for first dose of rescue analgesic and time to discharge will be documented. | — |
