Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants who are endotracheally intubated, mechanically ventilated and extubated as per physicianâ??s order. (weaned and extubated)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Participants who are extubated as requested by patient caregiver or by authorized personnel. 2.Those who progressed to tracheostomy without extubation. 3.Unplanned extubation (self extubation). 4.Participants who are intubated for surgery.

Incidence rate of reintubation Timepoint: 12 week

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Number of days on mechanical ventilation and ICU stay after reintubation. Mortality rate of reintubated participants after planned extubation. Post-reintubation new pulmonary complication. Timepoint: 12 week
