Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients requiring bilateral extractions of maxillary and mandibular anterior and premolar teeth - 2) root pieces, firm,carious, non-restorable teeth, orthodontic extractions. 3) Age group of 16-35 years. 4) Patients of both sexes included 5) Healthy patients: ASA Physical status I and II 6) Patients consenting for the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with uncontrolled systemic illness Pregnancy, lactation. 2) Periapical infection, teeth presenting with fracture, 3) hypercementosis, ankylosis, dilacerated, divergent roots. 4) Periodontally compromised teeth. 5) Impacted teeth. 6) Root canal treated teeth. Partially erupted teeth. Molars. History of chronic use of any medication or H/O consumption of analgesics upto 10 days prior to extraction. Known allergy to any medication;analgesics like piroxicam Patients not consenting and those who cannot attend follow-up visits.
