Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age group between 13-21 yrs . 2) ASA I &II patients. 3) Patients having DMFT >5 and with at least one active carious lesion.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who used chemical anti-plaque agents and mechanical debridement procedures or were under antibiotics therapies. 2) Patients with developmental anomalies. 3) Mentally challenged patients. 4) Patients with Xerostomia. 5) Patients undergoing fixed orthodontic appliance therapy.

Reduction in antibacterial count in plaque and dentinal caries sample -Increase in pH of saliva -Increase in buffering capacity of saliva and plaque. Timepoint: 60 mins and after 24 hr.
