Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a) Biopsy proven oropharyngeal, hypopharyngeal and oral cavity cancers b) Stage III - IV disease treated with radical intent c) Karnofsky performance scale > 70 d) Patients giving written consent to be part of study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) Metastatic disease b) Post operative cases c) Patients with pre existing swallowing disorders or neurological disorders interfering with swallowing. d) Previously treated patients
