Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: Age: 21-35 yrs with indication for IVF Unilateral endometrioma with mean diameter Endometrioma defined as: cystic mass with min diameter 10mm with regular margins, low echogenic fluid content without projections To differentiate from functional cysts: presence of endometrioma on atleast on pelvic scan performed 2 months before ICSI Diagnosis made on typical USG features/H/ O previous laparoscopy/aspiration/HPE No H/O previous surgery on the affected ovary No severe cause of male infertility

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: Non endometriotic cysts/ cysts resolving after medical management Atypical/doubtful diagnosis of cysts Medical management for endometriosis Accidental follicular fluid contamination with endometrioma content

To study the effect of endometrioma on oocyte and embryo quality. Women with unilateral endometriosis undergoing IVF were included in the study. Oocytes from the ovary were compared with those from the unaffected (normal) ovary (acting as control) with respect to: Number of oocytes retrieved Number of mature oocytes & Maturation rate Number of blastocysts obtained & Blastulation rate Timepoint: At baseline Number of oocytes retrieved Number of mature oocytes & Maturation rate At 1 week Number of blastocysts obtained & Blastulation rate
