Intervention1: Tablet Ramipril 2.5 mg: Tablet Ramipril 2.5 mg once a day orally for 12 months Control Intervention1: Placebo: Tab placebo once a day orally for 12 month

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient of either gender 2. Age between 30-70 years 3. Suffering from type II DM 4. Duration of disease less than 5 years 5. Derranged autonomic functions test as detected by various tests.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with associated hypertension, 2. Patients who are already on ACEI, 3. Beta blockers or 4. aldose reductase inhibitor 5. Patients with altered KFT 6. Pregnant & lactating women
